Positioned along a busy thoroughfare in a popular northwest Oklahoma City district, Forward Foods found their new home in what was most recently a tanning salon with several small rooms connected by long hallways.  With low overhead structures and a stepped floor slab, the interior was opened up as much as possible and finishes were limited to lighter colors, clear-sealed woodwork, and polished concrete, providing a simple backdrop for the locally-owned specialty grocer’s delicious and beautiful products.

The center island housed the customer checkout area, coffee bar, meat and cheese cases and food prep area.  Open planning provides ample room for shoppers at the renowned cheese case and simple and functional lighting provides a warm glow to the interiors.
