The Nonesuch project was the expansion of the existing restaurant into adjacent tenant space, creating a new private dining room with “hidden” access. To create a warm and intimate space, engineered wood was installed on the floors, walls, and ceiling. The room is encapsulated by a pair of natural oak shells that never quite touch, balancing sensations of tension and calm. Hot-rolled steel was used to create the bar area. Concealed light fixtures in the cove areas provide effective yet minimal lighting.
